The Houston Astros captured a pivotal Game 5 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday night. The closest game of the series went down to the final out before Houston walked out of Citizens Bank Park with both a 3-2 win and a series lead.

Houston did suffer some worrying injury news, however. First baseman Yuli Gurriel exited the game early after a rundown resulted in his baseline collision with Phillies first baseman Rhys Hoskins. Gurriel appeared to take a knee to the head while also twisting his knee in an awkwardly dangerous position.

Gurriel took to Twitter after the game to update fans on his injury.

It's a big sigh of relief. Gurriel explains that he will get treatment so he's ready for Saturday's Game 6, and that the win helped take a lot of the pain.

Check out video of the baseline collision below.

Houston will be all right if Gurriel is unable to go. Trey Mancini, who the team acquired at the trade deadline, would slot into the first base slot of the lineup.

After Houston's crucial Game 5 win, the Astros are considered heavy -550 favorites to win the title, with -148 odds to get the job done in Game 6, according to MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
