The Detroit Lions will look to ride the momentum from their first win of the year when they travel to take on the Denver Broncos in Week 14. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Broncos slated as 9.5-point home favorites in a game that could get out of hand after halftime.
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 14 clash.
Amon-Ra St. Brown Fantasy
Start Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Detroit Lions: Detroit head coach Dan Campbell has been adamant that the coaching staff wants wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown to be more involved on offense. Well, it's safe to say it finally happened last week. The rookie out of USC hauled in a season-high 10 of his 12 targets for 86 yards and the game-winning touchdown. When the Lions were forced to drive the length of the field with just under 2 minutes left in the game, it was St. Brown that quarterback Jared Goff kept looking for. The Lions are expected to go down early in this game, which means St. Brown is in line to see 5-plus targets once again. He's a great FLEX option on Sunday.
Javonte Williams Fantasy
Start Javonte Williams, RB, Denver Broncos: With Melvin Gordon sidelined due to a hip injury, rookie running back Javonte Williams ran wild in his first NFL start by racking up 102 yards on 23 carries. He proved he is capable of carrying the load and draws a great matchup in Week 14. The Lions have posted the 10th-worst rush defense DVOA rating and are allowing the third-most PPR fantasy points to opposing RBs. Gordon's status remains in question this week and it's possible we see Williams take on double-digit touches for the fifth game in a row. That makes him a must-start player this week.
Jamaal Williams Fantasy
Sit Jamaal Williams, RB, Detroit Lions: Running back Jamaal Williams stepped in for an injured D'Andre Swift in Week 13 and ended up with 80 total yards on 18 touches. However, he showed little upside from a fantasy football perspective. Williams' lack of work in the passing attack could haunt him in Week 14 given the Lions are slated as big underdogs. It wouldn't be surprising to see Detroit abandon the running game against a Denver defense that is allowing just 105.2 rushing yards per game (No. 10 in NFL). The Broncos have also given up just 5 rushing touchdowns to opposing RBs this season. Starting Williams comes with a lot of risk this week.
Noah Fant Fantasy
Sit Noah Fant, TE, Denver Broncos: Fantasy managers came into this season expecting Broncos' tight end Noah Fant to be a legitimate top five finisher at his position. He has taken a step back in this offense as of late, though. Fant's targets per game average matches that of his mark last season, but he is averaging a career-low 8.7 yards per reception. The third-year pro hasn't gotten into the end zone since Week 6 and now faces a Lions' defense that has only allowed 3 touchdown to opposing TEs all season. It would be smart to stream someone with a more favorable matchup this week.
