The Golden State Warriors have punched their ticket to the 2022 NBA Finals after taking down the Dallas Mavericks in five games. The Western Conference champions will now look to finish their dominant year with a title win, though they don't exactly know who they're playing just yet.

Here's everything you need to know about Golden State's next opponent.

Who Does Golden State Play Next?

The Warriors have earned their place in the 2022 NBA Finals. They will represent the Western Conference and face the representative from the Eastern Conference. That team is to-be-determined since the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat are still battling over the last spot in the Finals.

Boston is currently up 3-2 over Miami, and these squads play on Friday, which means the Celtics may be locked in as the Warriors' opponent by the end of the night.

Who Will the Warriors Play in the Finals?

It looks very likely the Warriors will face the Celtics in the 2022 NBA Finals. FanDuel Sportsbook's NBA betting odds favor Boston at -1400 to win the Eastern Conference Finals, while Miami is a huge underdog at +800.

The odds for Friday's potential elimination game are also in the Celtics' favor, as they're listed at -420 on the moneyline. The Heat are +330 underdogs. Boston is an 8.5-point favorite as well.

With the Celtics playing at home, they have a golden opportunity to send the Heat home and advance to the NBA Finals. The likes of Jayson Tatuma and Jaylen Brown seem too much to handle for a Miami team that relies heavily on Jimmy Butler to have a fighting chance.

Not exactly going out on a limb, but I'll predict the Celtics to face the Warriors in the 2022 NBA Finals. Game 1 of the Finals, no matter the opponent, is set for Thursday, June 2 at 9 p.m. ET.
