Vikings Insider Reveals One Veteran on the Roster Bubble Heading Into Training Camp
The Minnesota Vikings head into the 2022 season with a new coaching staff and middle of the road odds to win the Super Bowl at +4000, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. With Kirk Cousins still under center, at least through this season, Vikings fans will be wondering how the rest of the roster will finally shake out by the time Week 1 rolls around.
Training camp always consists of certain players being cut, from rookies to veterans, not everyone on the team is guaranteed a roster spot.
ESPN recently put together an article predicting one player on each NFL roster that is on the bubble, who could see themselves cut during training camp.

For the Minnesota Vikings, team insider Kevin Seifert listed guard Olisaemeka Udoh. The offensive line has been a question mark for the Vikings for years now, and while they have made improvements recently, it's easy to see why Udoh could be the odd man out in 2022. While he did start 16 games for the Vikings last year, he also led the NFL in penalties.
Jesse Davis was brought in this offseason and was given most of the starter reps in minicamp. When you couple that with the fact the Vikings spent a second-round pick on guard Ed Ingram in the 2022 NFL Draft, it's tough to imagine Udoh maintaining a spot on this roster.
Certainly things could turn around in training camp, but when you have that much faith and resources committed elsewhere, it appears the writing is on the wall.
