Vikings Get Surprising Offseason Dalvin Cook Injury Update

For the first time in his NFL career, Dalvin Cook played in every regualr season game this past. He did so while playing with an injured shoulder, which he originally hurt in 2019 and has been dealing with ever since.

His agency released a statement on Tuesday, revealing Cook had surgery and will be ready by the start of next season.

Vikings’ Pro-Bowl RB Dalvin Cook, who is second in the NFL in total yards since 2019, underwent surgery today to fix the broken shoulder he suffered in that same year, 2019. “Dalvin has been absolutely dominant and we cannot wait until September,” said his agency @LAASportsEnt.

While Cook did suit up for all 17 games, he did turn in the least efficient year of his career, recording a career-low 4.4 yards per carry. Still, he was a major part of the Vikings having an impressive 13-4 regular season record and an NFC North title.

Despite a disappointing Wild Card Weekend home loss to the New York Giants, the Vikings and Cook seem poised to make another run in 2023.
