VIDEO: Remembering When Tavon Austin Fooled the Entire Seahawks Special Teams Unit on a Brilliant Fake Punt Return
Tavon Austin didn't turn into the dominant receiver he was at West Virginia in the NFL, but that doesn't mean he hasn't put up his fair share of highlights at the next level. Most of his exciting plays have seemed to come on kickoff and punt returns, but Austin and the Rams really pulled one out of their bag of tricks against the Seattle Seahawks with this bait-and-switch type return play.
While everyone was focused on Austin, Stedman Bailey was on the other side of the field, actually receiving the football, which he ran in for a touchdown with relative ease.
It's a scenario you dream up and wonder if it will actually work on an NFL field. You can never know until you try it and boy did it work out for the Rams in this instance.
