Alex Smith has been in the news a lot lately for his incredible comeback from a gruesome leg injury that was career-threatening. But earlier this week Smith was cleared to return to football activities.

At this point, it's almost difficult to remember that Smith played the majority of his career with the San Francisco 49ers, but with his return we look back at one of the most memorable plays of his career during the 2011 NFL Playoffs.

With the game on the line, 14 seconds left, down three to the Saints, Smith fired a bullet to the end zone and Vernon Davis came down with it.

The throw sealed the victory for the 49ers. Although, Smith would soon lose his starting job in San Francisco to Colin Kaepernick. Smith would move on to the Kansas City Chiefs, where he enjoyed even more success for two seasons before heading to Washington.
