As the NBA approaches Thursday's trade deadline, there are a handful of names on the block, probably most notable of which is Houston Rockets guard Victor Oladipo, who was traded to to Houston earlier this season as a part of the blockbuster deal that landed James Harden with the Brooklyn Nets.

Oladipo already turned down an extension with the Rockets, so it seems clear, one way or another, the star guard will be on the move somewhere. The Rockets' asking price has been deemed too high at this point, but as the deadline nears, it may open up opportunities for more teams to jump in.

Let's take a look at three potential landing spots for Victor Oladipo.

3. Detroit Pistons

This Pistons have nowhere to go but up. They have been connected to a potential Oladipo deal in recent days, and while it's a risk, it could be one they're willing to take. Void of any marketable stars, Detroit could try and offer Oladipo the chance to be that moving forward. With a top draft pick likely to come this offseason and a franchise hurting for a reboot, Oladipo could be the spark plug both on and off the floor Detroit is willing to take a risk on.

2. Chicago Bulls

The Bulls need another star/scoring option to pair with Zach LaVine. With rumors recently swirling around Lauri Markkanen, maybe the teams could pull of a swap based around those two. Of course, Chicago would need some type of assurance Oladipo planned to stay there long-term before they gave up a young rising star like Markkanen. This deal would create a dynamic combo for the Bulls with both players having the ability to play multiple positions.

1. Miami Heat

The Heat have been connected to Oladipo for over a year now. They are in need of a legit third scoring option behind Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo, and the Rockets guard could be the perfect fit, especially with Tyler Herro having a down year compared to last season. The Heat have the assets and the potential cap space to make a deal. However, some believe their thinking is to wait until free agency to target Oladipo. But for a team coming off an NBA Finals loss, if they want a shot to make it back again this year, they might have to pull the trigger on a deal during the season.
