It's no secret that injuries significantly hampered the Philadelphia Eagles' offensive line play in 2020. Andre Dillard and Brandon Brooks are finally healthy again, but with Isaac Seumalo and Landon Dickerson currently sidelined in training camp, it's opened up reps for players to prove they'll be valuable depth pieces this season.
It looks like undrafted rookie Kayode Awosika is taking full advantage of the opportunity he has in front of him.
Kayode Awosika Eagles
Awosika is a rising dark horse to contend for the 53-man roster spot at the start of the regular season. He saw second-team reps on Sunday, so it's clear he's making an impression on the Eagles' staff with his play.
Awosika was a standout at the University of Buffalo, serving as a three-year starter. He showcased his versatility in college, starting 25 games at right tackle before moving to left tackle as a senior. At 6-foot-5, 315 pounds, he is a massive presence on the line who could provide Philadelphia with a capable backup option if injuries are a problem again this year.
Awosika's play will be one to monitor as camp continues and preseason play begins.
