The kicker position is rarely more than an afterthought in fantasy football. Usually dismissed as an unfortunate necessity, many players simply draft their kicker and leave them plugged in as their starter until a bye week ultimately changes things.

That can leave a big edge for savvy fantasy owners though. The position tends to be inconsistent, and one of our Week 9 streaming picks Sam Ficken finished sixth at the position with 12 fantasy points despite being owned in less than 1 percent of leagues.

Here are the top three fantasy football kicker streaming options, owned in less than 50 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Football leagues, for Week 10.

3. Michael Badgley, Los Angeles Chargers (15% Owned)

Michael Badgley made his season debut in Week 9 and was called upon to kick five field goals and two extra points in the Los Angeles Chargers' win. No kicker is going to be that busy very often, but it was an encouraging sign that the Chargers could be kicking more often now that they have a true starter at the position after opening the year with Chase McLaughlin and punter Ty Long combining for only 18 attempts in nine games. This matchup with the Oakland Raiders has the potential to be a shootout, with a 49.5-point over/under total on FanDuel Sportsbook, meaning scoring opportunities should once again be plentiful for the Money Badger.

2. Adam Vinatieri, Indianapolis Colts (33% Owned)

Adam Vinatieri has really struggled this season. His 70.6 percent field goal accuracy is tied as the second-lowest mark of anyone with at least 15 attempts, while his 73.7 percent extra point accuracy is the worst in the league. His ranking on this list is a testament to the strength of a matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Miami ranks dead last in Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA rankings, is allowing the NFL's second-most yards per play (6.3) and is allowing opponents to score on 48.3 percent of their drives (second most in the league). Vinatieri should have enough scoring opportunities this week that even his poor accuracy shouldn't hold his fantasy production back too much.

1. Matt Gay, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (25% Owned)

The third-ranked kicker in our Week 10 fantasy football rankings, Matt Gay is the week's clear top streaming option. The Arizona Cardinals, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' opponent in Week 10, are just one spot behind Miami, allowing opponents to score on 44.7 percent of drives, which plays a big role in the fact that they have allowed more extra points than any other team. With an over/under total set at 51, this looks like another potential shootout, and there aren't many kickers you'd rather start than Gay this week.
