There are a number of ways to track just how popular an athlete is nowadays. There's a player's social media following or the amount of endorsements they have, but the tried-and-true measurement when it comes to the NFL is jersey sales.

Considering Tom Brady has accomplished pretty much everything an NFL QB could ever hope to do, it should come as little surprise that he's also sporting the NFL's top-selling jersey in 2019.

Brady is arguably the most famous player in the league, but he's also been an NFL mainstay since 2001. The fact that fans are still buying his jersey at this rate is just another instance of the 42-year-old besting Father Time.

Following Brady is the man that many are picking to take the baton from him in the AFC, Patrick Mahomes. He's dealt with injuries this season, but Mahomes is still in the top three in the NFL MVP race and remains one of the most electric players in the league. Mahomes has thrown for more yards (2,180) than anyone in the NFL, and his 15 passing TDs are also tied for an NFL best, despite missing most of Week 7 with an injured knee.

Baker Mayfield and Odell Beckham Jr. come in at No. 3 and 4, respectively. Their spots certainly make sense considering the hype around the Cleveland Browns entering the season. However, at 2-4, fans haven't exactly gotten a great return on their investment.

The rest of the top 10 features some of the NFL's premier players, including Khalil Mack (No. 5), Aaron Rodgers (No. 7), Saquon Barkley (No. 8) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (No. 9). And, as is seemingly always the case, the Dallas Cowboys are also well represented. Ezekiel Elliott (No. 6) and Dak Prescott (No. 10) help round out the top 10 in jerseys sales so far in 2019.
