The 2021 NFL Draft gets started on Thursday night and the Tennessee Titans will have four picks within the first three rounds (No. 22, 53, 85, 100). It is important for them to ace these selections and ensure they have some young playmakers ready to make an impact next NFL season.
Well, the Titans may have even more opportunities to accomplish that goal given general manager Jon Robinson recently teased the team's potential to trade. He explained how he would like to acquire more early round picks, which makes Tennessee a team to keep an eye on in trade talks.
Titans Draft Trade Potential
The Titans head into the draft likely looking for defensive talent as they released several starters on that side of the ball including cornerbacks Malcolm Butler and Adoree Jackson. In fact, Tennessee gave up the fourth-most yards per game in the NFL last season (398.4).
Nevertheless, the Titans have five picks after the third round as well as six draft picks in 2022 to use in order to move up. This is also a possible trade down situation as the Tennessee could add more picks to their arsenal by making a deal involving their No. 22 overall pick.
All things considered, it is clear that the Titans may not stay put in this draft. Robinson is open to making some moves and bringing some young players onto the roster. Tennessee will look to make the postseason in 2021 for the fourth time in the last five seasons.
