The New York Giants are in the thick of a GM search following Dave Gettleman's departure from the organization after four seasons. Gettleman's replacement will face several areas that need to be addressed, and the potential to be the one to right the ship will certainly entice some around the league to take on this job.
Giants GM Search
The search appears to be hitting the next stage with finalists emerging.
Giants GM Candidates
There are three finalists for the gig that have been revealed so far: Joe Schoen of the Buffalo Bills, Ryan Poles of the Kansas City Chiefs, and Adam Peters of the San Francisco 49ers. All three hopefuls have been requested for second interviews, which is the next step in the process.
Schoen is the assistant GM for the Bills, serving in that role since 2017. Poles started with the Chiefs in 2009 and worked his way up from various assistant and scouting jobs to become the executive direct of player personnel.
Peters serves as assistant GM for San Francisco after holding the VP of player personnel role for several seasons.
All three candidates come from successful organizations that have nailed draft picks in recent years, which is exactly what New York could use to get this team back on track.
