The Seattle Seahawks have consistently been among the league's best teams since Russell Wilson became their starting quarterback in 2012. And even though this franchise wasn't quite as dominant before he took over, the Seahawks still have a pretty solid history of success.

The team even holds a pretty unique record. In fact, Seattle is the the only franchise that has appeared in both the AFC and NFC Championship games.

To be fair, there aren't that many other franchises that have played in both the NFC and AFC. Interestingly, though, Seattle has only been apart of the NFC since 2002. The Seahawks were in the AFC from 1977 to 2001.

This happened as part of NFL realignment when the Houston Texans joined the NFL, and it could be a while before that happens again – if it ever does. So this could be a distinction that Seattle holds for quite some time.
