With the exception of signing Melvin Gordon, this has been a pretty quiet offseason for the Denver Broncos. That doesn't mean it hasn't been a good one, though.

One of the quiet moves they made was re-signing defensive lineman Shelby Harris, and they got him on a shockingly team-friendly deal.

If you're looking for a potential criticism for the deal, it would be that it's just a one-year contract. That is more than overshadowed by the incredibly cheap price-tag, however. Even if he doesn't re-sign long-term at the end of the 2020 season, the 28-year-old Harris is giving the Broncos a full season of his prime for next to nothing in the salary department.

Harris was a full-time starter for the first time in 2019, and he made the most of the opportunity, racking up 49 tackles with 6.0 sacks, 8 tackles for loss and 6 QB hits.

Pro Football Focus also had 2019 as the best season of Harris' young career.

The Broncos are looking like a promising up-and-coming team in 2020, and this Harris extension adds to that optimism.
