Taylor Lewan Predicts Titans Breakup is Coming Soon

The Tennessee Titans ended their season earlier than expected once again in 2022. After losing in the playoffs as the No. 1 seed in the AFC in 2021, the Titans imploded in the second half of 2022 and missed the postseason completely.
Left tackle Taylor Lewan was notably absent for much of the season, appearing in just two games due to a knee injury. He's now missed significant time in two of the past three years and believes his future with the team is in doubt.
"In the next couple of weeks, I will be cut by the Tennessee Titans – that will happen. I truly believe that in my heart of hearts.

Because of that, he's facing an internal battle on whether he wants to play football anymore.
"I have to weigh the pros and cons of playing football, or not playing football."

It's a harsh reality, but one the smart and talented lineman is experienced enough to realize within the business of the NFL. He went on to talk about what his mindset would be after that happens.
"Football, it is not something I can wake up five years from now and say: You know what dude? I am going to go play ball again. Once this chapter is closed, I am not a Brett Favre. I am not these guys that is going to retire and unretire. I am not going to do that. I am going to make a decision, and I'm going to stick with that decision. But I am happy either way, and I think that is the most beautiful thing I can be given in my life. Regardless of what decision I make, I will truly find peace and joy in both decisions. So, I am very, very lucky, and fortunate."

Whatever Lewan decides, it's clear he's prepared for all possibilities and will be content with whatever decision he lands on.
