With veteran quarterbacks inking free-agent deals, the QB market is quickly drying up. However, that leaves less competition over a trade for Houston Texans star Deshaun Watson, opening the door for other interested teams to get involved.

One intriguing franchise has emerged as a potential suitor.

According to Jason La Canfora of CBS, "many" sources he's spoken with who are connected to the Philadelphia Eagles have floated the possibility of the team pursuing a Watson trade. It'd be a shocking and bold move for Philadelphia, especially given what they've already gone through this offseason.

The Carson Wentz drama finally ended with a trade to the Indianapolis Colts, and the team seemed ready to start building around second-round pick Jalen Hurts. However, there's been murmurs regarding the team's belief in Hurts, so it's plausible that they pursue an upgrade in Watson if it's possible.

It will require a boatload of assets to even get the Texans' attention on any offer, with three-plus first-round picks the reported starting point.

However, the Eagles have the draft capital to spend, and Watson's 2021 cap hit ($15.9 million) is manageable with the right moves, providing a glimmer of hope for this possibly franchise-changing move coming to fruition.
