The Seattle Seahawks are on the search for a worthy successor to Russell Wilson following his trade to the Denver Broncos. Netting the No. 9 pick in that deal now puts the Seahawks in great position if they do decide to select one of this year's QB prospects.

Seahawks Draft Rumors

The latest rumblings around the NFL Draft seem to suggest that may be the case for Seattle in April.

Malik Willis Seahawks

NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah said the Seahawks are one of three teams to watch for Liberty QB Malik Willis. The Carolina Panthers (No. 6 pick) and Atlanta Falcons (No. 8) are the other two potential contenders, according to Jeremiah.

Willis' stock is certainly rising leading up to the draft. He took over as the favorite to be the first quarterback selected earlier this month, and that was before his stellar Pro Day wowed teams around the league.

Carolina's decision at No. 6 is one huge obstacle in the way of the Seahawks drafting Willis, and Atlanta could be in play for a QB with the eighth pick after trading away Matt Ryan.

Willis' dual-threat skill set is certainly intriguing at the next level, and he could help Seahawks fans get over Wilson's departure quickly if he pans out.
