Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Manuel Margot played a big role in Monday night's thrilling 9-8 win over the Cleveland Indians. He went a cool 4-for-4 at the plate while knocking in 2 RBIs. With such a strong performance, Rays fans likely found it concerning when manager Kevin Cash replaced his outfielder after legging out an infield single in the 9th inning.

Following the contest, Cash provided additional injury on Margot's potential hamstring injury.

Cash told media that his 26-year-old outfielder is dealing with a hamstring issue, although he's not sure of the severity at this point.

Tampa Bay won't play on Tuesday due to Tropical Storm Elsa, but Rays fans are eager to see if Margot can find himself in the lineup on Wednesday. If not, the fear is this injury is worse than originally thought.

On the year, Margot is slashing .252/.297/.404 with 9 home runs and 44 RBIs, the second-most RBIs on the team. The Rays remain in second place in the AL East with their 49-36 overall record, trailing the Boston Red Sox by 4.5 games.

FanDuel Sportsbook gives Tampa Bay the seventh-best odds (+1400) to win the World Series in 2021, and avoiding any missed time from Margot will be necessary for a deep run down the stretch.
