Ranking the NFL Offenses: Worst to Best for Week 9 Fantasy Football

Fantasy football is a game of matchups. There aren't a ton of players who are "must-start" options each and every week. Fantasy owners are often faced with tough decisions on who to start and, more often than not, a player's matchup is going to be one of the deciding factors.

Here's how every team's matchup stacks up for fantasy football purposes heading into Week 9 of the 2019 NFL season.

Note: The New Orleans Saints, Los Angeles Rams, Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals are on bye weeks and are unranked for Week 9.

28. Washington Redskins (at BUF)

27. Arizona Cardinals (vs SF)

Kliff Kingsbury and Kyler Murray have made the Arizona Cardinals an exciting one for fantasy purposes, but the San Francisco 49ers' defense will put that on hold for Week 9. The Niners have held their opponents to just 20 points combined in four games since their bye week, and this is a nightmare matchup for anyone.

26. New York Giants (vs DAL)

25. Tennessee Titans (at CAR)

24. Denver Broncos (vs CLE)

23. Chicago Bears (at PHI)

22. Miami Dolphins (vs NYJ)

Usually among the worst fantasy offenses, the Miami Dolphins get a nice boost from this week's matchup with the New York Jets, who are giving up top-10 fantasy production to both RBs and WRs. With Mark Walton seeing true lead back volume and DeVante Parker racking up big target totals, there are multiple startable options in the Miami offense for the first time in a while.

21. Cleveland Browns (at DEN)

20. Baltimore Ravens (vs NE)

19. Pittsburgh Steelers (vs IND)

18. New York Jets (at MIA)

17. Philadelphia Eagles (vs CHI)

16. Los Angeles Chargers (vs GB)

15. Kansas City Chiefs (vs MIN)

14. Detroit Lions (at OAK)

13. Carolina Panthers (vs TEN)

12. Minnesota Vikings (at KC)

11. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (at SEA)

10. Indianapolis Colts (at PIT)

9. Jacksonville Jaguars (vs HOU)

8. Oakland Raiders (vs DET)

7. Buffalo Bills (vs WAS)

6. San Francisco 49ers (at ARI)

The 49ers aren't known for their offense, but a matchup with the Arizona Cardinals gives them a huge boost. We've seen the damage Tevin Coleman can do as the lead back (four TDs last week), and the passing game gets a huge boost against an Arizona team that has allowed the NFL's fourth-most passing yards per game as well as the fourth-highest passing TD rate.

5. New England Patriots (at BAL)

4. Green Bay Packers (at LAC)

3. Houston Texans (at JAX)

2. Dallas Cowboys (at NYG)

1. Seattle Seahawks (vs TB)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been shredded through the air in 2019, allowing the second-most passing yards per game. Chris Carson may get a slight downgrade on the ground, but his receiving work (3.4 targets per game) gives him a boost here, and Russell Wilson, Tyler Lockett and D.K. Metcalf are all in a dreamy spot.
