Raiders Have Already Met With Late-Round QB Prospect Several Times

The 2023 NFL Draft is full of talented quarterback prospects, giving the Las Vegas Raiders a prime opportunity to find their next QB of the future. The Raiders have a chance at landing a top prospect with the No. 7 pick, but there's value in later rounds as well.
In fact, Las Vegas has already met with a projected late-round QB several times.

Raiders Combine Meetings
Fresno State quarterback Jake Haener told reporters at the combine that he's talked with the Raiders a few times during the pre-draft process. This is obviously part of the team's research before April, but the fact there were multiple interviews suggests the team is interested.
Haener is coming off of a productive two-year stretch to finish his Bulldogs career. He accumulated 6,992 passing yards and 53 touchdowns (with just 12 interceptions) across his final two collegiate seasons.
Right now, the 6-foot-1 gunslinger is projected to be a sixth-round selection, giving Las Vegas a possible value pick to think about on Day 3. Considering how drafting former Fresno State QB Derek Carr worked out (for the most part), it'd be no surprise if the Raiders tap the Bulldogs pipeline again.
