After yet another offseason of hype for running back Ronald Jones II, the player in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' backfield that is looking more and more like the right play in fantasy football is Peyton Barber. Jones did little to make up ground on Barber during a training camp battle between the two RBs, which only further solidifies Barber's value in fantasy in Week 1.

While Tampa Bay's new head coach Bruce Arians said he'll go with the "hot hand" against the San Fransisco 49ers, Barber is expected to start.

While Jones and Dare Ogunbowale are sure to be involved in the Buccaneers' offense, Barber should be the back to own in fantasy. He's ranked as an RB3 in Week 1, but being the majority leader in a Tampa Bay backfield that is expected to score a lot of points will likely mean Barber outperforms his ranking.

The matchup for Barber and the Buccaneers is also a quality one. Facing a 49ers squad that gave up 20.2 fantasy points to opposing running backs last season (11th-most in NFL), Barber could be a sleeper on the late Sunday slate this weekend.
