More than a handful of teams enter the 2021 NFL season with the belief that they can contend for the Super Bowl. This year's championship showdown is favored to feature a rematch between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but they're not the only ones who could be left standing in February.

NBC Sports columnist Peter King has offered his prediction for the two teams in Super Bowl 56, and it's a bold one.

King has neither the Chiefs nor Bucs in the Super Bowl this year. Instead, he has the Los Angeles Rams on a collision course with the Buffalo Bills, projecting the Rams to hoist the Lombardi Trophy after a 33-24 victory to win the title. King believes both the Bucs and Chiefs will lose their respective conference championship games against these two squads.

Omitting Kansas City and Tampa Bay from the Super Bowl is certainly a choice that will raise eyebrows, but their replacements are teams with legitimate championship claims. The trade for Matthew Stafford may takes the Rams to new heights and the Bills were just short of a Super Bowl appearance last year.

Certainly, these aren't the only squads who could appear in Super Bowl 56. Teams like the Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans are looking to break through, while the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers are hoping to make a return trip after recent success.

Kansas City (+500) and Tampa Bay (+650) do enter the season with leading Super Bowl odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
