The Baltimore Orioles are trying to get through the end of this lost season without any major hiccups. However, the team got a scare on Tuesday after slugger Trey Mancini left in the fourth inning with an apparent torso injury.
The latest update on Mancini is disappointing news with the season winding down.
Trey Mancini Injury Update
The first baseman was pulled from Tuesday's contest with abdomen soreness on his right side, and he's considered day-to-day for now. Mancini has also dealt with an oblique injury recently on that same side. Baltimore will likely be extra cautious to limit the 29-year-old from any further ailments.
Mancini picked up right where he left off in 2019 this season. He's recorded 21 home runs and 66 RBI in 133 games while slashing .261/.335/.451.
The Orioles head into Wednesday's game against the New York Yankees as +146 moneyline underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
