The race for the 2021-22 NFL MVP award is officially heating up and after Week 3, things couldn't be closer. Patrick Mahomes held a lead through the first two weeks of the season, but following a home loss to the Los Angeles Chargers, he now shares that distinction with five other quarterbacks.

Mahomes, Tom Brady, Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, Kyler Murray and Matthew Stafford are all tied with odds of +800 to win the MVP award, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's odds.

Rodgers and Allen represent big jumps from post Week 2 odds, improving from +1200 and +1300, respectively. However, Justin Herbert, the QB that beat Mahomes, saw a humungous leap from +2000 to now +900.

Allen had a monster day, accounting for 5 total touchdowns. Stafford and Rodgers also had impressive outings, while Brady and Mahomes had less than average days. All of this equals a log jam at the top of the odds and a set up for one heck of an MVP race as the season rolls on.

Let's take a look at the updated NFL MVP odds.
