The New Orleans Saints look to be getting healthy at the right time, getting Trey Hendrickson back from injury this week. However, things could've been a lot worse for the team heading into a Divisional Round matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Backup center Will Clapp tested positive for COVID-19. While he's not a significant part of New Orleans' offense, things could've gotten bad for the Saints if he was deemed to have any high-risk, close contacts.

Thankfully, it looks like this was just an isolated case, meaning he's the only member of the team that will have to miss Sunday's game against the Buccaneers.

Saints COVID Update

As mentioned above, this could've been a lot worse. Just a few weeks ago, we saw the Cleveland Browns' offense was forced to play without pretty much its entire wide receiver room due to COVID protocols.

Thankfully, it looks like the Saints have averted disaster. Hopefully, Clapp can recover and get back up to full speed soon.
