NBA DFS 2/25/2022
Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Friday, 2/25, NBA DFS action.
FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 2/25
Pascal Siakam Fantasy
Target Pascal Siakam, PF, Toronto Raptors ($9,400): The Toronto Raptors look well on their way to securing a playoff berth and the play of Pascal Siakam has been a major reason why. The 27-year-old is averaging a healthy 21.9 points, 8.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists per game on the year. Siakam is the Raptors' go-to option on the offensive side of the floor and now faces a Charlotte Hornets team that plays at the second-fastest pace in the league. In two games against Charlotte this season, he has poured in a combined 48 points, 20 rebounds and 20 assists. It's surprising to see his price tag lower than five digits right now.
Jakob Poeltl Fantasy
Target Jakob Poeltl, C, San Antonio Spurs ($7,700): The Spurs may have found their next star big man as center Jakob Poeltl keeps excelling during his sixth NBA season. His consistency has become a welcome sight in the DFS market given he has posted at least 17 combined points and rebounds in each of his last six games. Poeltl has a shot to get to the rim early and often tonight against a Washington Wizards team that is allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing centers this season. Overall, Washington is giving up 47.8 points in the paint per game (No. 21 in NBA). Their lack of size on the inside should lead to a big night for Poeltl.
Cole Anthony Fantasy
Target Cole Anthony, PG, Orlando Magic ($6,100): Second-year pro Cole Anthony has been up and down from a scoring perspective this season, but he draws a perfect matchup on Friday night. The Houston Rockets play at the fastest pace in the NBA and have posted the worst defensive efficiency mark as well. These teams are going to be trading buckets all night long and that benefits Anthony more than anyone. After all, he dropped 26 points and 7 assists in his last game against Houston in December. The former UNC standout is shooting 50% from three-point range over his last five games, which gives him more than enough upside to start here.
Mitchell Robinson Fantasy
Avoid Mitchell Robinson, C, New York Knicks ($6,400): Mitchell Robinson has become a popular target at the center position for those looking for a cheaper option, especially with Nerlens Noel sidelined for the New York Knicks. However, the matchup he draws tonight is simply horrible. Both the Knicks and the Miami Heat play at a bottom-five pace, which means possessions are going to be at a minimum. The Heat also give up the fewest fantasy points to opposing centers this season and have All-Defensive talent Bam Adebayo guarding the rim. Keep in mind Robinson has failed to crack double digits in scoring in six of his last nine outings.
Kyle Kuzma Fantasy
Avoid Kyle Kuzma, SF/PF, Washington Wizards ($7,600): The Wizards have called upon Kyle Kuzma to take on a bigger role after losing All-Star Bradley Beal to a left wrist injury. That doesn't mean he is an automatic start, though. The fifth-year pro is shooting just 40.4% from the floor and 36.8% from three-point range over the course of his last three games. That is a big deal since Kuzma's best fantasy production comes when he is able to sink shots from beyond the arc. The San Antonio Spurs are allowing the fewest made threes to opposing power forwards this season and have the length to constantly disrupt shots. This is not the game to start Kuzma.
