NBA DFS 2/15/2022
Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Tuesday, 2/15, NBA DFS action.
FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 2/15
Karl-Anthony Towns Fantasy
Target Karl-Anthony Towns, C, Minnesota Timberwolves ($9,900): It doesn't get any better for NBA centers than facing the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets are giving up the most points per game to the position (25.67) as well as the most rebounds (17.79). Karl-Anthony Towns is a must-target option tonight because of that reason alone. The All-Star big man has posted a double-double in five of his last eight games and should thrive around the rim in this one. After all, Charlotte allows the 11th-most points in the paint per game (47.2). Look for Minnesota head coach Chris Finch to get the ball to Towns as much as possible, which makes him worth the hefty price tag.
Oshae Brissett Fantasy
Target Oshae Brissett, SF, Indiana Pacers ($6,800): Talk about taking advantage of an opportunity. The departure of Domantas Sabonis has allowed Oshae Brissett to take on more playing time with the Indiana Pacers. The third-year pro out of Syracuse has seen at least 37 minutes on the court in each of his last two games and responded with a double-double in each one. His ability to knock down three-pointers or finish at the rim gives him of versatility on offense. Milwaukee isn't exactly the easiest matchup on the slate, but Giannis Antetokounmpo will likely not play due to an ankle injury. Brissett's price tag may not stay this low for long.
Terry Rozier Fantasy
Target Terry Rozier, SG/PG, Charlotte Hornets ($7,500): Targeting another player from this matchup tonight is a smart move. Charlotte and Minnesota rank No. 1 and No. 2 in terms of pace and will be flying up and down the court. There's a reason this contest comes with the highest point total on the slate (244). Guard Terry Rozier sticks out as a great choice given he has finished with at least 25 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists in each of his last two games. The 27-year-old is doing it all on offense and has already dropped 30-plus points against the Timberwolves twice in his career. Keep backing Rozier's hot streak.
Jimmy Butler Fantasy
Avoid Jimmy Butler, SF/SG, Miami Heat ($8,900): The biggest reason to avoid having Jimmy Butler in your lineup tonight is the fact that he may not even suit up. The veteran playmaker remains questionable with a shoulder issue. He draws a tough matchup if he is able to play, too. Dallas & Miami both rank among the bottom five NBA teams in terms of pace and the Mavericks have posted the fifth-best defensive efficiency mark in the league. Butler has poured in less than 20 points in four of his last six games and has not hit a single three-pointer during that span (0-7). There are better options out there with lower price tags.
Caris LeVert Fantasy
Avoid Caris LeVert, SG/SF, Cleveland Cavaliers ($8,500): This is more about Caris LeVert getting up to speed with a new squad more than anything else. The sixth-year pro has scored less than 12 points in two of his three games played with Cleveland, which is especially notable since most of LeVert's value comes from his ability to rack up points. He only averages 3.8 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game on the year. When LeVert last faced the Atlanta Hawks back on December 1, he finished with 6 points and 4 assists while shooting 3-for-12 from the floor. Expect a similar outcome in this matchup of Eastern Conference foes.
