NBA DFS 1/11/2022
Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Tuesday, 1/11, NBA DFS action.
FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 1/11
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Fantasy
Target Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, SG/PG, Oklahoma City Thunder ($7,800): Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been riding a bit of a cold streak, but he's not far removed from five straight 43-plus FanDuel DFS point performances to close out December. His falling salary represents the best-case for upside tonight, especially considering the Wizards are not a challenging matchup, ranking just 23rd in defense rating.
Jae Crowder Fantasy
Target Jae Crowder, PF/SF, Phoenix Suns ($4,100): Jae Crowder represents our value play for tonight's slate, coming in with a $4,100 salary after his time off with COVID. He returns to the starting lineup amidst Cam Johnson's injury and should see close to his average of 28.1 minutes per game. Crowder will take on a bigger role and there's upside against a Raptors squad that ranks bottom-10 in defense rating.
Zach LaVine Fantasy
Target Zach LaVine, SG/PG, Chicago Bulls ($7,500): For a guard that's hit at least 35 fantasy points in four of his last eight games, LaVine's salary is intriguing. Detroit's 9-30 overall record is partly reflective of their porous defense, ranking 22nd in defense rating and points per game allowed. LaVine averages 26.2 points per game he could up his 4.1 assists per game against a Pistons unit that allows the sixth-most opponent assists per contest.
Devin Booker Fantasy
Avoid Devin Booker, SG, Phoenix Suns ($8,500): Devin Booker finished both of his past two games with a negative plus-minus score, including a dismal 11-point outing against the Los Angeles Clippers. That performance resulted in just 27 fantasy points, which won't cut it based on his salary. Toronto plays at the fifth-slowest pace in the NBA and Booker may have trouble reaching his average 19.3 shots per game. In 13 games that Booker hasn't taken at least 19 shots, he's been held under 20 points in 7 of those contests.
Jaren Jackson Fantasy
Avoid Jaren Jackson, PF/C, Memphis Grizzlies ($7,000): Jaren Jackson comes into tonight's slate off a pair of 55 and 63-fantasy point outings. He pulled down 20 combined rebounds in those contests against the Lakers and Clippers, who rank 27th and 28th, respectively, in opponent rebounding. Enter the Golden State Warriors ranking third in opponent rebounds and that spells trouble for Jackson. He's moderately priced, but his 16.4 points per game isn't enough offense to justify a potentially bad rebounding night.
