3 Most Likely Duncan Robinson Free Agency Destinations

Duncan Robinson has had one of the greatest NBA journeys as he went undrafted back in 2018 and now enters the offseason as a premier restricted free agent. The 27-year-old averaged 13.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists while shooting 40.8% from beyond the arc during the 2020-21 season.
The three-year pro is sure to draw interest in the free agent markets as teams across the league are constantly looking for consistent shooters. With that in mind, here are three of the most likely destinations for Robinson in free agency.
Duncan Robinson Destinations
3. Oklahoma City Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder have the fourth-most cap space available heading into free agency. Bringing in a guy like Duncan Robinson could be the perfect shooter to put around a distributor like Kemba Walker. OKC has been connected to multiple guards and wings so far this offseason and someone with Robinson's shooting ability could end up being the perfect fit, especially if he's their guy and decide they want to outbid other teams, including Miami who has the right to match any offer.
2. Toronto Raptors
It's no secret that the Toronto Raptors were one of the most disappointing teams of the 2020-21 season. However, they have the pieces in place to make another deep playoff run in the next few years. Point guard Fred VanVleet could use another shooter to dish out assists to and Robinson may be the most affordable one on the market. The former Michigan Wolverine has proven he can be relied on late in the game to make the much-needed shots. Plus, his playoff experience would fit in well with this title-winning franchise. Toronto remains a sneaky option for Robinson.
1. Miami Heat
Of course, the most likely outcome here is Robinson re-signing with the Miami Heat. He is a restricted free agent, which means the Heat will have the opportunity to match any offer sheet he signs this offseason. This is the team that took a chance on Robinson and helped him develop as a truly dangerous NBA player. He has fought to take on a starting role in Miami and plays perfectly alongside stars Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. Shooting is a proven commodity in today's NBA and the Heat are understandably interested in keeping their sharpshooter around for years to come.
