The Minnesota Twins have had a whirlwind offseason, headlined of course by the unexpected return of Carlos Correa. The Twins may still have another big splash up their sleeve, however, as they are reportedly fielding trade offers on one of their best players.
Luis Arraez Trade Rumors
That player is Luis Arraez, who won the batting title last year with a .316 mark while also earning his first All-Star nod. The 25-year-old utilityman has been one of the best contact hitters in baseball since debuting in 2019, ranking second in MLB with a .314 batting average during that time.
With his ability to play multiple positions and three years of team control remaining, Arraez would fetch an impressive haul on the trade market. The Miami Marlins have expressed interest and could build an enticing package of prospects and young pitchers, but it's unclear if they're willing to pay Minnesota's hefty price tag.
The Twins are exploring upgrades to their roster after finishing third in the AL Central at 78-84. The team boasted a solid lineup but could use considerable pitching help in both the rotation and bullpen, so that's likely what Minnesota is seeking in a potential Arraez trade.
It's hard to envision the Twins parting ways with their leadoff hitter, but if it improves the overall roster then they have to consider it. They're currently tied for the 14th-best World Series odds (+4000) on FanDuel Sportsbook's MLB odds.
