Pair of Penn State Edge Rushers Absolutely Crush 40-Yard Dash Times in Recent Workout
By David Hayes

Even though we're still roughly two months removed from the 2021 NFL Draft, not one, but two Penn State edge rushers may have already stolen the early spotlight with some recent workout numbers.
Former Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons and defensive end Jayson Oweh recently posted some eye-popping speeds on the 40-yard dash trials, coming in at 4.44 seconds and 4.38 seconds by laser, respectively.
Got the following #’s from well regarded speed coach Ryan Capretta of @proactivesp. Jayson Oweh: 4.34 hand/ 4.38 laser —> Jaycee Horn: 4.39 hand/ 4.42 laser. —> Micah Parsons: 4.41 hand/ 4.44 laser. Capretta correctly timed Isaiah Simmons last year at 4.38 laser b4 the combine.

Most college football fans beyond Happy Valley are already well too familiar with Parsons, who projects to be an early first-round pick, but Oweh is someone looking to leap from an early-to-mid second-round pick to the first as well.
Considering Oweh's recent 40 time and his 6-foot-5, 257-pound frame, he already seems well onto his way.
You never know what could happen at the NFL Combine the day of the official laser times for the 40, but it's already looking like the 2021 NFL Draft could feature two first-round edge rushing talents from Penn State.
