Javier Baez Injury Update
Baez spent the minimum 10 days absent from New York's lineup after landing on the 10-day injured list on Aug. 12. Mets fans are hopeful that his proven bat is exactly what's needed to jump start this struggling lineup.
On the year, Baez is slashing .241/.285/.470 with 24 home runs and 68 RBIs across 101 games. The 28-year-old infielder got off to a slow start (.171/.216/.343 slash line) during his first 10 games with his new team, but hopefully that's chalked up to the injury issues.
New York enters Sunday's contest as +158 moneyline underdogs, according to the latest MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
