Listed as questionable all week with an ankle injury, Matt Breida will suit up for the San Francisco 49ers' Week 9 "Thursday Night Football" game against the Arizona Cardinals, making him a solid fantasy football running back option for the week.

Breida will serve as the 49ers' No. 2 RB behind Tevin Coleman, but, even in that role, he offers some nice fantasy upside. Despite making an early exit in Week 8, after playing only 19 snaps because of his ankle injury, Breida tallied 12 touches (11 carries and one reception) while Coleman had 13 on 32 snaps.

A matchup with the Cardinals is also a great one for fantasy football. They allow the NFL's fourth-most yards (407.1) and fourth-most points (27.9) per game.

Sitting at RB34 in our Week 9 PPR fantasy football rankings, Breida makes for a viable RB3/FLEX option and is a solid Thursday Night Football fantasy play.
