If you're reading this, stop what you're doing, go to your fantasy baseball waiver wire, and make sure that your league isn't one of the 36 percent of Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball leagues in which Lourdes Gurriel Jr. is still available in.

This is the time of year where production from fantasy baseball lineups has mostly leveled out. Fantasy owners should now have a solid idea of what they have in their lineup, and whether or not it's enough to compete for a fantasy title. The rare exception to this middle-of-the year fantasy baseball paradigm, occurs when a star player is returning from injury, or a young player has been called up and is starting to perform at a high level.

This is more-or-less the case for Toronto Blue Jays' phenom Lourdes Gurriel, who has been on a heater since returning from Triple-A.

After another dominant performance at the plate on Wednesday, Gurriel now has 12 home runs this year, all of which have come since being recalled.

There is nothing wrong with taking some time off in order to reset, and Gurriel is proof of that.

Despite hitting below the Mendoza-line at the beginning of the season, Gurriel has already turned that around, and now has a season average of .304. He has been an RBI machine recently and is seemingly a threat to go deep every time he's at the plate.

If he can stay anywhere close to the torrid pace he's been on recently, picking up Gurriel now could be the difference in fantasy owners' seasons.
