The Detroit Lions showed plenty of fight against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 17, scoring 22 points in the second half to make things somewhat close. Seattle didn't let up on the Lions, though, putting up 51 points, which included a touchdown in the fourth quarter with the game already out of hand.

Lions head coach Dan Campbell was asked about the late TD score following Week 17's loss.

Campbell's response is what has endeared him to many in his first year as head coach. The former tight end knows the only way to prevent an NFL team from scoring is to stop them yourself. Those upset with Seattle should really be looking at Detroit's defense for allowing it to happen.

This message from Campbell is exactly the hard-nosed attitude he's brought to the Motor City, which has rubbed off on the team. They've fought for their coach despite starting the year 0-8, and it sets a great foundation for the future.

The Lions will look to end their campaign with a win in Week 18. They enter their matchup against the Green Bay Packers as 2.5-point home underdogs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
