Lions Get Concerning D'Andre Swift Injury Update
Detroit Lions running back D'Andre Swift went down in obvious pain on Thanksgiving. Swift apparently reaggravated a shoulder injury he picked up earlier in the year, and there's questions over his Week 13 status.
The latest update on Swift is certainly concerning for Detroit.
D'Andre Swift Injury Update
Head coach Dan Campbell said that Swift is "pretty sore" and it's hard to see him playing on Sunday against the Minnesota Vikings. It sounds like Swift could potentially give it a go, but he has an uphill battle to be cleared.
This isn't what Lions fans wanted to hear on the team's star RB. Swift likely would've gone over 1,000 yards from scrimmage on the season in Week 12 if he didn't get hurt. It's been a fantastic sophomore campaign for the former Georgia stud, who's also recorded 6 combined TDs this season.
Swift has been the backbone of the offense all year, and the Lions' attack could turn to jelly without him. Productive backup Jamaal Williams could take on the lead RB role if Swift sits in Week 13.
