NFL offseason workouts are underway across the league, but one notable New England Patriot has yet to show up for practice. Cornerback Stephon Gilmore wants a new contract and he could get traded from the team if the two sides cannot come to an agreement.

Every NFL team could use some depth in the secondary and a former Defensive Player of the Year should draw a lot of interest in the market. With that being said, here are three of the most likely trade destinations for Gilmore.

Stephon Gilmore Trade Destinations

1. Dallas Cowboys

Anytime a proven defensive player is available, the Dallas Cowboys should be a rumored destination. The Cowboys struggled to defend the pass last season allowing opposing offenses to rack up 34 touchdowns through the air. Adding Gilmore would give Dallas an immediate upgrade in the secondary. The veteran ballhawk has posted 7 interceptions and 23 pass breakups over the last two seasons (27 games played). The Cowboys would need to find a way to financially take on Gilmore's contract, but it may be worth the risk.

2. Las Vegas Raiders

Another team that got torched by opposing passing attacks in 2020 was the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders gave up 263.2 passing yards per game (No. 25 in the NFL) and an average of 11.4 yards per completion (T-No. 28 in the NFL). Former first-round pick Damon Arnette looked terrible during his rookie season and Las Vegas could acquire Gilmore to be a mentor to the young CB. Overall, a veteran duo of Gilmore and offseason addition Casey Heyward Jr. would make the Raiders' secondary a lot more daunting.

3. Seattle Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks are a long ways away from the Legion of Boom days and are in desperate need of help in the secondary. The Seahawks lost Quinton Dunbar and Shaquill Griffin in free agency this offseason and there is now a major void at CB. The NFC West is full of impressive offenses and Seattle may need to make a move in order to keep up with them. General manager John Schneider has shown in the past that he is not afraid to make blockbuster trades and Gilmore would be a smart target for the team.
