Summer is almost here and that means it is time to start looking ahead to the college football season that begins in the fall. The Texas A&M Aggies will hope to start their season on the right foot at home against the Kent State Golden Flashes. The kickoff time and TV channel have now both been set for this anticipated matchup.

This Texas A&M-Kent State game will kick off at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 4. It will be held at Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, and air nationally on ESPNU.

Texas A&M-Kent State Game Info

Opening the season with a night game should be an exciting start for Aggies fans in what could be a special year. This Jimbo Fisher-led team finished 9-1 in 2020 and was ranked No. 4 in the final AP poll. They capped off that season with a 41-27 win over North Carolina in the Orange Bowl.

However, this talented squad will have its sights set on making the College Football Playoff in 2021, even with talented quarterback Kellen Mond now in the NFL.

Kent State, meanwhile, went 3-1 in a shortened MAC schedule. It was their second winning season in as many years.

Texas A&M is tied for the seventh-best odds in the nation to win the national championship this year at +4000, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. Kent State is a massive longshot at +400000 odds.
