March 30 is a big day in the lead-up to the 2021 NFL Draft, with both Ohio State and Alabama hosting their pro days.
One prospect that has the whole league's attention as he works out is Ohio State QB Justin Fields. And he didn't disappoint.
Justin Fields 40-Yard Dash Time
Justin Fields has unofficially run a 4.44-second 40-yard dash at his Ohio State pro day.
For some context, since 1999 only three quarterbacks have posted faster 40 times: Robert Griffin III (4.41), Reggie McNeal (4.40) and Michael Vick (4.33).
It's no surprise that Fields can run (he racked up 1,133 yards and 19 touchdowns on the ground in college, but a 4.44 is some seriously elite speed.
Fields already seems like he's all but a lock to be a top-five pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but measurables like this could have him back up in the conversation as the potential No. 2 overall pick.
As of Tuesday afternoon, however, FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL Draft odds still have BYU's Zach Wilson as the favorite (-460) to go No. 2, while Fields ranks second in those odds at +600.
