Wide receiver Juju Smith-Schuster is headed to NFL free agency for the first time in his career. It is unknown at this point whether he will re-sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers or not, but he is making that scenario seem like a big possibility.

He recently spoke to TMZ Sports and said that he does not want to leave Pittsburgh.

JuJu Smith-Schuster Free Agency

Smith-Schuster has shined in his role as a top option in the passing game for the Steelers over the past few seasons. In 2020, he racked up 831 yards on 97 receptions and scored a career-high 19 touchdowns. He also set a career high with a 75.8% catch rate.

He is part of a loaded wide receiver free agency class this offseason that includes the likes of Chris Godwin and Allen Robinson. Because of that, it's likely Smith-Schuster wants to see how other players get paid before deciding where he wants to play moving forward in his career.

Testing the open market is something every NFL player does and nothing is set in stone yet until a new deal has been signed. However, this news should have Steelers fans in high hopes regarding the young offensive playmaker.
