Jorge Alfaro doesn't walk much, but the rare free pass he earned on Tuesday won the game for the San Diego Padres.
Alfaro's walk-off walk in the bottom of the 10th inning gave the Padres a 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers. Even Alfaro was surprised it happened, delivering a hilarious NSFW quote to his teammates after the game.

Alfaro didn't start the game, entering in the ninth inning as a defensive replacement. That proved to be a wise move by manager Bob Melvin, however, as Alfaro came to the plate with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th.
The Padres catcher worked a full count against Dodgers closer Craig Kimbrel before taking the sixth pitch of his at-bat for a walk, bringing home the game-winning run in the process.
Incredibly, it was Alfaro's first walk since July 26 and only his 11th of the season. The 29-year-old backstop is not known for his patience, as his career 4.2% walk rate is less than half the MLB average of 8.5% during that time. Kimbrel is known to get wild on occasion, however, and he missed the strike zone one too many times against Alfaro.
Tuesday was San Diego's 12th walk-off win of the season, five of which have been supplied by Alfaro. With how often he's delivered in the clutch this year, Padres fans hope he keeps it up once the playoffs start next week. San Diego currently has +1500 odds of winning the National League pennant on FanDuel Sportsbook's MLB odds.
