James Conner Injury Update Improves Trey Edmunds Fantasy Football Outlook in Week 10

For the second straight week, the Pittsburgh Steelers will be without starting running back James Conner. That means Trey Edmunds will once again seen an increased role, which should boost his fantasy football outlook in Week 10 against the Los Angeles Rams.

The third-year back had seen little work prior to last week, when, with both Conner and Benny Snell out due to injury, he saw 12 carries that he turned into 73 rushing yards.

With a similar situation this week, as both Conner and Snell are sidelined, Edmunds could expect to see a similar workload against the Los Angeles Rams.

Edmunds will still have to compete with Steelers' RB Jaylen Samuels for snaps, though. Samuels racked up 13 catches for 73 receiving yards in Week 9, and he figures to dominate most of the work in the passing game this week.

With Conner and Snell sidelined once again, both Samuels and Edmunds could provide decent values in Week 10. Samuels is the preferred play in PPR formats, as he clocks in at RB16 in our Week 10 PPR rankings, while Edmunds checks in at RB29 in our standard-scoring rankings.
