The Golden State Warriors are back in action Sunday afternoon as they face the Portland Trail Blazers at 3:30 p.m. ET. One player's status to keep an eye on ahead of tip-off is Stephen Curry, who has been dealing with a hip contusion.

Stephen Curry Injury Update (4/9/2023)

Curry is officially listed as probable to suit up against Portland and all signs point to the All-Star guard being on the court. He was in noticeable pain after suffering a knock to his hip on Friday against the Sacramento Kings, but it is nothing more than a contusion.

Golden State fans can breathe a sigh of relief as anything more than a minor injury would've been concerning for Curry's status in the upcoming playoffs. The 35-year-old is in the midst of another great season as he is averaging 29.5 points, 6.3 assists and 6.1 rebounds per game (55 games).

As it stands, the Warriors are the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference, yet they could move up as high as the No. 5 seed or as low as the No. 8 seed. That will be determined by the outcome of their game against the Trail Blazers as well as the outcome of the Clippers, Lakers and Pelicans games.

Stephen Curry Fantasy Outlook and Prop Bets Today

Stephen Curry is listed with over/unders of 28.5 points, 5.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds on FanDuel Sportsbook's NBA odds, which is a great sign for his availability tonight. I lean toward backing him to record over 5.5 assists as he has tallied at least 6 assists in five of his last eight games. The Trail Blazers' defense is also allowing the second-most opponent assists per game on the season (26.8).

Curry is listed among the top options on the FanDuel DFS slate today as well, checking in with the second-most expensive price tag at the point guard position ($10,400). That should come as no surprise given Curry is averaging 46.9 FanDuel fantasy points per game and is facing a Portland team that ranks 27th in defensive efficiency. Curry is a safe player to anchor your lineup around on Sunday.
