The Indians and White Sox were initially scheduled for a 6:10 p.m. ET contest on Wednesday, but it has been postponed due to weather.
It’s currently just 37 degrees in Cleveland – far from ideal for baseball – and the field is soggy from recent snowfall. The game will be made up as part of a traditional doubleheader on May 31.
The Indians have gotten off to a solid start this season. They’re currently 8-8 through their first 16 games, which puts them just one game behind the Royals for the top mark in the AL Central. The Indians have shipped off Francisco Lindor, Carlos Carrasco, Corey Kluber, and Mike Clevinger over the past two seasons, so they weren't expected to contend this year. Their early play has been encouraging though.
The White Sox are also one game behind the Royals at 9-9. They remain one of the favorites to win the AL Central, with FanDuel Sportsbook listing them at +120 odds and the Minnesota Twins at +115
