Historical Signs Point to Bruins Winning Game 7 of the NHL Finals Over the Blues

The St. Louis Blues had a golden opportunity to win the 2019 Stanley Cup Finals on Sunday night at home, but they absolutely blew it. Holding a 3-2 series lead, they were destroyed in St. Louis by the Boston Bruins, 5-1.

Now, with the series heading back to TD Garden, the Bruins are once again the favorites to win it all. This is nothing short of bad news for St. Louis, as the stats are completely against them leading up to Wednesday night.

Historically, home teams are 12-4 in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals and 4-1 in Game 7 after winning Game 6 on the road. St. Louis has a bit of hope, though, with the away team winning the last two Stanley Cup Finals Game 7s,

The Bruins have never hosted a Game 7 in the Stanley Cup Finals, but they're -160 favorites to get the job done this week, per the FanDuel Sportsbook. Another championship win coming for the good people of Boston? The stats certainly point that way.
