After falling a blown fourth-quarter lead short of the 2019 College Football Playoff last season, the Georgia Bulldogs look to be back with a vengeance. Currently, the Bulldogs sport the nation's third-best odds to make the 2020 CFP at +130, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, trailing only two of college football's most familiar postseason faces.

Georgia will once again be led by Heisman hopeful quarterback Jake Fromm, who knows the Bulldogs' biggest CFP obstacle all too well: the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Crimson Tide are just ahead of the Bulldogs when it comes to the 2020 CFP race, and having never missed a CFP appearance to date, it's safe to say Bama has earned the nation's second-best odds to make this year's CFP at -235.

Nick Saban's program has also dashed Georgia's CFP title hopes in consecutive seasons, with both instances coming in heart-breaking fashion for UGA. After the Bulldogs blew a 20-7 lead in the 2018 CFP National Championship, the Tide roared back to burn them, 26-23, in overtime. Less than 10 months later and on the exact same field (Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium), Georgia blew yet another double-digit, second-half lead to Alabama in the 2018 SEC Championship.

The reigning national champion Clemson Tigers are far and away the favorites to make the playoff, with -750 odds. Clemson also returns the betting favorite to win the 2019 Heisman Trophy in quarterback Trevor Lawrence. And Lawrence should be looking to pick up right where he left off, which was a 44-16 stomping of Alabama.

After Georgia, Ohio State (+140) and Oklahoma (+198) round out the top-5 teams with the best odds to make the 2020 CFP in what is expected to be a competitive race.
