The San Francisco 49ers made one of the most shocking trades of the offseason, acquiring the No. 3 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft from the Miami Dolphins in exchange for a horde of future picks. Teams usually don't give up that kind of capital unless it's for a quarterback.

That has understandably led to a ton of speculation about QB Jimmy Garoppolo's future in San Francisco. But the organization has reportedly been unwilling to trade Jimmy G thus far.

And it seems as if star tight end George Kittle shares those sentiments. Appearing on 10 Questions With Kyle Brandt, Kittle defended his QB with a definitive statement.

This is the tune Kittle has been singing all offseason, as it's far from the first time he's stuck his neck out for his quarterback. It's nice to see him do so once again, but it's probably a moot point.

It's no longer a question of if the 49ers will draft a QB, but which QB will the team draft? All signs seem to be pointing toward Alabama's Mac Jones at the moment, though that could just be a smokescreen.

But that doesn't mean Garoppolo won't have a chance to start next year, assuming he remains with the team. And Kittle's endorsement could help quiet down the fans that will be clamoring to see whichever young QB San Francisco selects.
