Florida Opens as Convincing Favorite Over UCF for Gasparilla Bowl

The NCAA college football season is winding down, which means all of the focus is on the upcoming bowl games. That includes the Gasparilla Bowl, which will feature the UCF Knights taking on the Florida Gators.

Florida currently sits as FanDuel Sportsbook's convincing 7.5-point favorite with -110 odds to cover. UCF also has -110 odds to cover the spread.

Opening Gasparilla Bowl Odds

The Gasparilla Bowl isn't anything new for the Knights, who have played in the annual showing four times. They're 2-2 in those four games so far, beating Marshall, 48-25, in their last appearance back in 2019.

Meanwhile, the 2021 Gasparilla Bowl will be the Gators' first appearance. Florida has lost four of their last six games this season, so the upcoming meeting with UCF gives the school a chance to end the year on a high note.

The upcoming matchup will be the third time that the Gators and Knights have met, with the most recent time coming in 2006. Florida has won both of the previous meetings, outscoring UCF, 100-27, in the process.

The 2021 Gasparilla Bowl will take place at 7 p.m. EST on Thursday, Dec. 23 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL.
