After a poor start to the season, to put it lightly, it seems the Atlanta Falcons have nothing to play for aside from draft position. On brand with only doing the wrong thing, Atlanta defeated the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football. However, this was not the biggest disappointment of the night for Falcons fans, as they watched Calvin Ridley leave the game and not return.

Luckily, initial tests on Ridley's football came back negative, with interim head coach Raheem Morris noting the injury was not major. We still await MRI results for Ridley, to determine his status the next few weeks. Still, this is positive news for Atlanta fans.

Ridley had been enjoying a breakout season, prior to this injury. He totaled 485 yards though the first five weeks, to go along with five touchdowns. Now with 657 yards over half the season, he was clearly on track to record his first 1,000-yard season, but his injury update could put this feat in doubt.

Atlanta has a Week 10 bye, so hopefully, his recovery is speedy enough where Ridley would be able to return following the bye, but the timeline is still yet to be determined.
